I’m Required. Don’t include me.

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2004

4.0 is up!!! YEAH! YEAH YEAH! You just have to see it for yourself. It is awesome. whats even more awesome is the code. It runs off of a series of requires and includes now. The header is required, the footer is included, and some other things are also included (the logger is included in the header) Now it truly has an api with several functions. gimmeadate(foo), countT(foo,foo,foo,foo,foo,foo) and log_visit().

This blog also seems to have an API shaping up. It has gimmeadate(foo) log_visit() and slots(). The slot machine is updated. I expect to develop a new template very, very soon, now that 4.0 is done. 4.0 also has a large effect on this blog. Some of the includes are the same.

Today sucked. The schedule was messed up do to testing. I hate that. There were only like 10 Jr’s in my lunch!!! Nothing worth happening happend today, so there is really no reason for me to continue this post. Infact, if I try to continue, I will digress extremely far away from whatever the hell the topic is.

So, Dave came to me with a math problem….A really really hard one, yet really really simple. The numbers seem to have nothing in common, because they don’t.

1
11
21
1211
111221
312211
???

what comes next in the sequence?
Well, the numbers do actually seem to have something in common, not exactly sure if it can be expressed mathematically though. I tried dividing them, with eachother and other common numbers, and subtracting them…Odd similarities apeared but nothing large enough to draw a conclusion from. It was then that I was pretty sure there was something going on at a digital level….But what? I looked at every different way to move the digits around, and found no common pattern. It was beginning to get disgusting, when all of a sudden, I looked at the first 3 for the millionth time….ahha! “one one” “two ones”…there was definitely a pattern there. Notice how each nubmer after the first has an even number of digits? Every two digits forms a summary of the number above it in the sequence
31—22—11=”three ones”, “two twos”, “one one”…it spells out the one before it in the sequence. So the next number is “one three”,”one one”,”two twos”,”two ones”

OH YEah!~

I won….

Remember the slot machine? Well, as far as I know, no one has one since I made it harder. There are two types of wins, “You win” and “You super Win”. I just refreshed the page and I super one. I am pretty damn sure that has never happend…

Well anyway, I think I will try to chronologically sum up the day…I had gym first period, I walk because I am a loser :). I almost made 5 laps around the school today. My last lap was only 5 minutes, and still Mrs. Dmasco wants us to speed up!!! My heart rate was only 90 bmp, and that is not enough for her! I was wearing my backpack, and boots and Walking faster than the rest of the class (except Jeff Baily whom I was with), yet she still insisted that I go faster till my heart rate reached 137-157….It didn’t happen. She is definitely a heart Rate Crazed loon!!! After that, I had IMP, what a Wonderful start to the day….except when Getting test scores back :( I only got a 91, which normally, I would be happy with, but all the points I lost were becasue of completely stupid Mathematical errors!!!(ie…18+5=13). After second period, I had advisoreee thing, as usual. Mr. Goudro seems to have this obsession with making me talk. hehe…He Will not succed. I will either not know, or just simply have no opinion…hehe!!! Well, after that madness, it was time for my “other” math class…the one with the damn freshmen Those freshmen are the most unexiting persons I have ever been in class with. Ussually a boring class is due to a boring teacher, but Mr. Horne is cool….Aside from the drabness of it all, it is dead easy review—so Far…Well, at least It will probably help with SAT’s. It was then time for the Best non-math class of the day, animation. We finally learned Modeler today….God this is going to be hard. I have no artistic talent whatsoever.
Period 5: english.
Status: Boring as usual.
homework: I should be doing that now…(what was it?)
Period 6 was decent. Mr Shehan was out on a feild trip, so we had some guy named Mr. Mooney (what a fun name…)At the end of the period, Mrs. Ruso came and gave us an informational packet on the PSAT’s….I can’t wait!!…well for the math section anyway, I don’t care about verbal, it is just a reality that I have to face….or get < 800. Physics after that...boring...I have homework for that to be doing now also. w00t!!! the end of the day, this is the best part!! I bought coke and rode the bus home. (see wasn't that fun?)

I said Hi to Jill in the hallways TWICE today!!! w00t. and she didn’t even see me once…(I say that is a negative one for her…)

I swear, version 4.0 is on its way…PLEASE STOP STALKING MY PROFILE!!! I am now offically on 3.9…although it does not say that….version 4.0 will have a versioning system. (god, it is only a subprofile…)

Goodbye badness!!!

So I hope…
Plans are firiming up to get a new host. I just can’t live with this. With a new host, I plan to have MySQL too, so I will use wordpress. Subprofile Version 4.0 is just about out, I have finally completed datemath.php. I am working on a pretty in-depth API for it, but I may not have that complete by The time I feel like releasing 4.0….or perhaps I will hold off on 4.0 ans skip to 3.9 :-D…see most people use the conncurrent versioning system, or something similar…I use My own versioning system, and it is much more flexible.

about today…
I did absolutely nothing today!!! the reason that I am writing this is probably just beacause I am bored and trying to post once a day again….Hehe! just wait till I change hosts and get wordpress up…

It was wet….

For those of you who don’t know, I went camping this weekend. Whilst all of you were dry in your homes, whacking off, I was freezing my ass off learning about surveying. Naturally, my tent stayed dry, I wouldn’t have it any other way. The whole day was spent looking forwards to “the plotting”….and even more so, a warm shower.

The plotting: The ploting was kind of an ominous thing, due to the mystery surrounding it. We all had our protractors and rulers, and knew that at the end of the day we would have to use them, but for what? No one knew…As all things in boy scouts, it was divided up into sations (they wouldn’t have it any other way…) The lack of communication betweent he stations was astounding. The professional at the first station just told us to write some numbers down (said we would need them later….) The second guy cleared things up..a little bit. He told us that we were surveying a plot of land, and that it would be a triangle. No one told us how to write this numbers down or anything…just wrote them down. By the last station, we were finally informed that we were making a pentagon. Alas, came the time to plot, and so we set to work. We had brian taking out notes the whole day—Bad Idea. He just had a bunch of numbers that he knew nothing about. Eventually, we got 3 sides of the figure plotted….Then brians reliability was lost. In the end, steve and I drew in the other two sides, and I checked all the math. We had the most accurate plot they had seen all day, so we became the model for others to copy off of. ( The rest of the troop would not have the badge without us )

Despite the weather, I would have stayed another night. All my gear was fine. It is always the case at these things for all the big, spoiled, car-camping troops to wimp out first in the littlest bit of rain. It is kind of funny. We did not make the decision to leave until we were ordered to leave by the district. hehe! We were like the last troop to break down, and probably the fastest. Those other troops wouldn’t last 10 seconds on a backpacking trip.

Build it on up…

Just a quick post on my coffee purchasing theories….

Ever notice what happens if you walk into dunkin donuts and order a “medium coffee”? Well, all of a sudden, your “medium coffee” has cream and sugar in it!!! Depending on the season, your “medium coffee” will either be iced or hot….By default. on july 14th you order a “medium coffee” and you get iced coffee with cream and sugar. You neither ordered cream, sugar, nor ice!!!!

My Theory:
When ordering a coffee, it should be universely understood that you start with a small black coffee. You have to build your way up from there. If you want ice, add ice; If you want large, enlarge; If you want cream and sugar, ADD THEM!!!! START WITH NOTHING AND BUILD UP!!! If you want to order coffee with just the word coffee then you should get what you deserver—A SMALL BLACK ONE!

# “Who’s the more foolish: the fool or the fool who follows him?”

I am surrounded by geeks. Everywhere I look…GEEKS!!! Recently, dick was enlightend to the wonders of thinkgeek.com. Thinkgeek.com is the kind of website that just Draws you in. One will become awed by its greatness, and never leave. I have seen it happen, and now I feel parially responsible for enlightening people to the wonders…but what they HELL! Dick: “If you strike me down, I will become more powerful than you can ever imagine.”…Remember that. X=X, but X-X Does not equal 0 it equals x2 (when X==Me). Also, dick you are such a geek now, there is no turning back. Thinkgeek probably has a profile on you by now. You have been marked with the scarlet letter of geekism…(Damn, I am weird)

For those of you who don’t know what this is all about…Dick and joe just bought light sabers….

Dick, you will have to play Vader—He is the only kind of fat one :p

Version 2.0 one of these days…

Wednesday, September 15th, 2004

This Template was made from scratch…And I is Time I make another one from scratch(been saying it for a month) I mean a major realease though…with a real slot machine, not an intergrated on in the corner. The chances of winning will be made more realistic. What could be better than reading my blog, playing my slot machine and whacking off all at the same time? (porno in the blog?) Well I have officially begun work on version 2.0….I have a blank document with the <!DOCTYPE so far :)…I will also be switching hosts, hopefully. ALong with the switching hosts, I will be able to use MySQL(hopefully)….lots of fun can come out of this…along with version 2.0 of my Blog will come version 4.0 of my subprofile. (skipped a few minor releases, which means I am actually making big changes..) Version 4.0 will have an API, and hence be more includes-based. I might even change the pages, and the colors again…I haven’t decided…I am beginning to need a versioning system for this project :p.

Well, yesterday I promised an inverse for factorail, so here goes…
Factorial is the multiplication of a number by all preceeding numbers (until 1). The symbol for factorial is !. So…5! is 5*4*3*2*1 this yields 120. Taking the inverse of that isn’t all as hard as it seems, but first, allow me to write what Factorial would be written as a computer program.

#include <iostream>

int main() {

using std::cout;
using std::cin;
int num;
int newNumber=1;
int i;
cout << "\n What number would you like the Factorial of?: ";
cin >> num;

for ( i=num; i > 1; i– ) {
newNumber *= i;
}

cout << "\n " << num << "!=" << newNumber << "\n\n";
}

Yippeee!!! the main element there is the loop. It loops around X number of times, and multiplies by a different number each time. The inverse is a MUCH more lenghty process. You have to loop through and do the division, starting from one, but each iteration, you must check to see if the number ! comes out to the number you are un factorialing. I am not going to show the code here….Too Lazy.

Can one trick a calculator into using binary? Converting?

Reverse—Use the inverse.

What is this post about?: I wanted to find inverse functions for digital root and for Factorial (! and dr()) …I will leave it at dr() for now…factorial tomorrow…Really, read this, and it will make you feel smart…see, I really have no life…

Background info:
First, one must have an in depth understanding of both functions. I will start with digital root. Digital root is the sum of all the digits in a number, then the sum of the new number, until the remaining number contains only one digit. ex: dr(32)=3+2=5 dr(19395) = 1+9+3+9+5 = 27 = 9….so dr(19395)=9… This is a very cumbersome process.

Moving away from that for a while….In order to simplify the process, one must understand The modulus fucntion, and using it with 9. I will write modulus as n % x. Modulus is the remainder of the division of 2 numbers. So…5%9=5 easy enough concept.

Now…dr(5) is also == 5… Division by 9 is used to keep it digital…There are 9 digits that will affect the digital root of the number. In more simple terms, there are 9 non-zero numbers. So you may be thinking, that digial root can be expressed as dr(x)=x%9. Well, in most cases that is true, but consider any case where X is 9*10n …That would be very very wrong. infact… 99/9 is 11. THis is due to the division by 9. It will come out to 0. There is no number with a digital root of 0(this would not happen if we divided by 10 ;)) So, if we add one, then we are set for that. It will never come out to one. so far we have: dr(x)=1+(x%9) Well, that seems to be good, except now every number comes out one too many. So, it looks like we also have to subtract one. To conclude: dr(x)=1+mod[(x-1),9]

So what is dr()-1?
Well, it is non-existant, basically. That formula can be re-written in terms of X, But you will end up with the mod-1 which is NULL. The only way the inverse digital root can be done is if one knows what (X-1)/9 is…otherwise, there is no way to reverse mod()

Ok…Tomorrow, I will post about inverse Factorials…and make SubProfile Version 4.0

I really am me….

Ok, this is going to be a wierd, Messed up, philosophical entry, so bare with me…It will get deep…

Ever wonder how you know you are you, and not someone else, who would inherently be you? I did, so I set out to find mathematical proof. Now you may be thinking If one is truly convinced that “2+2=5″, isn’t that proof enough? Well, yes it is…kind of, but the equal sign bears only the power entrusted to it, and it doesn’t have that much. So I set out thinking, in terms of X…so how does X=X? well if X-X=0, then X must be equal X, because only a true value of X will work there…So along that same principal: X/X=1 and X!=(X-1)!*X …I swear it is true ;). So…getting even stranger… If I mate with my self, then what is the offspring? Mathematicaly, it has to be: X*X=X^2 ..so the second generation of pure me, a non-existent thing… But, if I mate with someone else, then….X*Y=XY…so XY/y yields me again. Furthermore, If I kill myself, then come back to life, what has changed? Now, I encourage you to use this proof that you are you next time you are asked for ID…Id’s can be Counterfieted, but that mathematical proof cannot.

SO, lets take all that and combine it, shall we?]

X!+X+X+X*X+X/X+X-X=1+X2+2X+(X-1)!*X

Simplified, it should come out to:

X=X and essentially, X would equal infinity, which there is not a unicode character for, sooo…for anything it is true that it equals itself…
