Random Hitters!

I had a random “hit” today. A real person came to my Blog. A truly Wonderful person came. The person who came was using linux! It gets better than that. He was using Firefox… although he is .2 versions behind(I believe). The point is that a Wonderful person came. I worked a lot more on the statistics today. I have the Operating system statistic function almost done. (cheap hosting, mind you.) It seems to be giving an accurate count of the operating systems, but the part that weeds out refreshing monkeys still needs some revision. I haven’t even begun work on the other statistics I plan to include…

I got in my kayaking today and I managed to set a new personal record: I went across pascoag reservoir and back in only 55 minutes. I didn’t get any laps in though :’(. Rewinding to this morning: While looking for breakfast, I came across a box of pop tarts. The box was empty, so it really wasn’t a box of pop tarts, it was a box of nothing. Knowing that the only person who would leave an empty box in the cupboard was my brother, I threw it at him. He went into a fit after that. I think he may have been near tears. Who knew that an empty pop tart box could have so much effect on someone mentally?

Down to more important business… My new Sound card came in today. It is a creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 zs Platinum Pro. The sound is great. I haven’t gotten it working in Linux yet(grrr), but I will Google that. It seems as though I need to install software for the remote, as the buttons have no effect. I find the idea of the remote needing special software stupid. The external box where the IR receiver is has a volume control dial that works fine without extra software. Who needs remotes anyway? As soon as i get this working in Linux, I will be extremely happy… Although, I still love the card.
